The enchanting centre of Limone sul Garda with characteristic porches, hemmed in between the high mountain and the waters of the lake, has tiny harbour offering excursions on Lake Garda. You can still see the lemon greenhouses which gradually extended up on terraces above the town and where lemons, citrons and oranges have been grown since the 13th century. Today remain only the white stonework pillars, which were used to support the structures protecting the plants from winter cold.
The XVI century San Rocco Church is certainly the most interesting in Limone, it dominates the town offering a breathtaking panoramic view over the lake.
